At Moana Connect, we support individuals to build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to live in a supported living environment.
We understand that moving toward independent living is a big step, and our role is to walk alongside individuals and families through this process making it clear, supported, and achievable.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a type of NDIS support that helps individuals live as independently as possible while receiving assistance with daily tasks.
This support is usually provided in a shared or individual living arrangement, depending on a person’s needs.

At Moana Connect, we can support individuals by:
• Building daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, routines)
• Preparing for independent or shared living
• Supporting transitions into new living arrangements
• Assisting families to understand SIL options
• Working alongside providers and supports already in place
• Supporting ongoing routines and independence within the home

We take a gradual and supportive approach to independence.
We focus on:
• Building confidence over time
• Developing real-life skills
• Supporting safe and stable transitions
• Working closely with families and support networks
We understand that independence looks different for everyone, and we tailor our support to suit each individual.

• NDIS participants exploring independent living options
• Individuals preparing to move out of the family home
• Participants needing support within a shared living environment
• Families needing guidance around SIL pathways

Supported Independent Living is funded under:
Core Supports – Supported Independent Living (SIL)
SIL funding is based on individual needs and requires assessment and approval through the NDIS.
Our team can help guide you through this process and ensure you have the right supports in place.
